So I did it.

Yep. I cut my hair.
Like I said in my post last week, I've really been thinking about it.
I really just needed a change. And this was the best that I could come up with.
I felt like my hair was just hanging. And that I was looking frumpy.
So, I did it. Today. This morning. Before I could chicken out.
I gave it good thought for a week or so, and still wanted to do it.
And I still don't feel regret, yet.
I know I will feel regret at some point, but its hair right? And it will grow back, yes?
Ok. The world has not ended!

I think I got maybe 6 inches off? I don't know..my hairdresser wouldn't tell me.
I've been going to her for years so she knows me pretty well. So I asked her and she knew it would freak me out, so she said, "Lets not discuss inches. It looks good, the end!"

On the way to my appointment. Needed my Starbucks to get me through such a big life choice.
Cutting in action! :|

A piece of hair I snagged!

Some of the after. Ah!
After the cut!
I went with a somewhat angled look so it would have  a little something extra when I wear it straight. I'm glad I did that, because I dont think I would love it straight across so much.

Dry side view!
Its not super short, but its definitely short for me!
So far I'm super happy with it. I can still pull it up into a ponytail. I can curl it or straighten it. Its healthy and feels light. Hopefully I'll wear it down more.
I will keep everyone posted on how I feel with it as we continue on!
PS-My most favorite thing so far is being able to wear a scarf and when I take it off, have my hair not be all tangly underneath.

  4. Oh I love your hair girl so cute!! I cannot wait until after my wedding, I'm ready to cut it about as short as you have yours in that picture. I love that you went with an angle because straight across is slightly boring!! Ugh wearing a scarf with long hair is seriously such a struggle!

  5. Yay! It looks great! It's still fairly long so you'll still be able to do a lot of different styles with it.
