Confessions-3.16.16

Here we go again! Happy confessing!

I confess that often times I have no heart and when I see sob stories online with people asking for things, I blow right past them. I know that makes me a terrible person, but the way the world is now with scammers and people hiding behind computer screens, you truly have no idea who is asking or if they actually need it!

I confess that I get really upset when I comment on blogs and they don't even comment back. I will even go back to the post that I commented on, and I still don't see a response. It doesn't take much to just respond even with something simple!

I confess that I get confused and seriously have to stop and think for a second when I hear "series" vs "season" finale and my heart skips a beat before I realize the series is actually NOT ending and just taking a hiatus.

I confess that I do not hate crocs nor do I think they are ugly. In fact I think they are super comfy and I wear them all the time. Especially the ones with the fuzzy insides. Oops.

I confess that up until yesterday, I still had Christmas decorations in my dining room. I'm talking a full on Christmas tree, not a few little miscellaneous things. Should have just left them up..only 8 more months until it's not frowned upon to have decorations up.

  1. It's funny what you said first because a guy from my hometown made up a story that he had cancer and raised $22,000 using Go Fund Me and some other program. He does NOT have cancer and is not in jail for fraud.

    Thanks for linking up!

  3. I totally get and understand not having sympathy for someone's sob story online. It is true, people have learned to scam the suckers to get what they want. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks like this! Oh, and the not commenting bit-Psh, total peeve! I love comments....it's like friends from afar!

  5. I am the same about "sob stories"! You just never know. Also, "series" vs. "season"... we are totally on the same page!

  7. I'm finally putting away my nativity tonight and I agree about the internet sob stories; it just feels shifty to me most of the time!

  8. LOL I am dying you still had your Christmas tree up - and I love your honesty! No shame! ;) I feel you on the blog commenting thing. Come on people!!

  9. LOL at the Christmas decor, I would have it up all year long if I could! I totally agree with you on the commenting thing, even if it's a simple thanks...it doesn't take long!

  10. Hey nothing wrong with Christmas all year round! And some people just post one too many sob stories..you're not the only one that skips over things!

  11. Wowza x-mas decor in March...at least you took it down before spring!! I agree with the commenting...it doesn't take a long time, even if it doesn't come right away, just at some point would be nice lol! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  13. Hopefully I'm not one of the people who doesn't respond. If it was in the last week or so, I've lost track of a few comments but I'm usually on top of it. I don't like the responses that are just like "Thanks" or nothing at all. Sometimes I stop commenting on a blog if they dont respond back because it's like whats the point?

  14. Jenn, I must confess that I also have a few Christmas decor items up! I should probably take them down since it's March!! HA!! Also I am with you on the Series vs Season Finally thing!

  15. Haha! Aside from the Christmas and crocs (which I am proud to say I've never owned), I am right there with you.

  16. Okay- we are totally on the same page about the difference between "series" and "season" finales! HA! I have had a couple mini-heart attacks thinking one of my favorite shows was going away forever- instead of just for the summer! HA!

  17. No shame in the Croc game! ;) I've actually never had them but can totally see why they'd be so comfy - I have this knockoff pair of Toms (because I've been too cheap to buy the real thing) from Target that I have literally worn holes in. I would wear those babies to a wedding if I could, they're so comfortable. Have a great weekend!

  18. I hate when others don't comment back as well. Makes me mad unless something big is going on with them. Then I can understand if it takes a day or two. I have to rewind my DVR to make sure they said season finale and not series. Totally the same!!

  19. Yes. Hate when people do not reply to comments at all, especially genuinely thoughtful ones, or take the time to throw a comment your way as well. Sometimes I'm a little behind. Like today, I know after work I owe some comment responses from the past day or two & that I've got some blogs to visit, but so long as I can find a link, I'm there!

  20. I do the same thing about "series" vs "season" finale - almost all the time. It's really not good, but it's true. There's nothing wrong with some Christmas decorations still out :) And on the replying to blog comments - sometimes I don't respond as promptly or quickly as I should, but I do reply, as long as you're not a 'no-reply' blogger, you'll get a reply from me! I hate when people comment and I can't respond to them because they are no-reply bloggers. anyhow..

  21. I have a pair of crocs that I wear around the house. My husband hates them, but they are SO comfy! And the first one? Same here! I only contribute to Go Fund Me accounts if I know the people personally or know of them through a family member or friend!
Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend! XOXO

  22. I am the EXACT same when it comes to series vs. season finales! And I agree about the commenting. It only takes a few seconds and that's how the blogging community grows! The comments are one of my favourite parts about blogging :)

  23. Yes it irks me when people don't reply, and yes I have the same struggle with getting confused between series and season finales-haha. All of my favorite shows usually get cancelled so I'm always paranoid.

  24. The sad part about the sob stories is that there are the bad apples who ruin it for the rest of the bunch.
I think it's a good gesture to respond on a blogger's post if they've commented on yours.
